It's too hot here to write.
So, with apologies to Minnesota, who I'm told will be knee-deep in snow 'til August, here are some summery photos. I'm not even going to clutter them with words, as most are obvious.

ReplyDelete...I trust they are beautiful... but mate you'll need to downsize 'em. Eight minutes in I still only have three I can see and several have failed. Sadly the possibility of even decent bandwidth, never mind superfast is long in the future of this part of the isles... As to hot? whassat then?... Sigh. YAM xx
Namaste Yam! Sorry you've been having problems. The good news is that they're NOT big files, and that Blogger (who sits behind my domain) was having a few issues earlier. I hope by now you've had a chance to see these. Drop me a line if not, Indigo x

Deleteam back for a second week - still not seeing them... Must be a Monday morning thing! Never, mind. It can't help that that there is hill-to-hill cloud, rain, mist, damp stuff, haze, air-water...... if you visit Dunoon bring your snorkel. YAM xx
I can't explain it Yam, sorry! =( But if you subscribe by e-mail (top right of this page) you get it sent as an email with embedded pics. Indigo x
DeleteI had a bit of a problem downloading as well; why would that be? Does it have to do with the resolution? That's the only technical word I know about photos :)
ReplyDeleteBut the results were breathtaking. I felt like I could drink the colours of those flowers. Today's favourites: the sapling fence (proper name is ?), and the asphalt/gravel close up. Thanks for sharing these.
Hey Jenny! As I was just saying to Yamini, I think Blogger was having some issues today. I'm delighted you like them. The sapling fence (as good a name as any) is willow, I'm told. This is commonly used in nature reserves rather than processed wood. The asphalt was doubly interesting. I took the picture because the original layer of cobbles on a country road was still visible, even after two layers of tarmac had been laid on top. But I also liked the lines in the photo made by the paint and the various layers. I had to crop my foot out ;) Indigo x
DeleteBeautiful photos. The black and white one with the bridge really caught me. No probs downloading. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jack! There's a few weekends of wandering and snapping there, but the bridge in the woods (from a village called Elsworth in Cambridgeshire) was just a couple of days ago. Amazing what you can find if you get lost on a regular basis :) Indigo x
DeleteIt gets hot in England? Define "hot."
ReplyDeleteHey Jayne! Well, not California-hot. But hot and humid enough for a nation without aircon in their homes to be uncomfy. True story. Indigo x
DeleteThere's a story, which may be true, that there was once a headline in a newspaper "Britain swelters in the seventies!"
DeleteSometime in 1930s, and English newspaper reported on heavy fog in the English Channel. The headline? "Fog in Channel, Europe cut off". Yes, we're very important.
DeleteGreat Goldfinches buddy! (resisting any mention of photographs of "great Tits" as that would just be juvenile. Also, love the 'don't blink' angel. Great skies!!
ReplyDeleteI decided against posting pictures of brown boobies for similar reasons.
DeleteGreat photos, cheerful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Geo. A little bit of colour does wonders for my frame of mind. And obviously, big fluffy, dramatic clouds. Indigo
DeleteYou are fantastic at this photo thing Indigo! I love all the colors and the style. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kato! As ever, I use about 10% of what I take, so I guess I've been busy ;) And yours are pretty spiffy too! Indigo x
DeleteBTW, everyone should check out Kato's blog, PANDORAH'S BOX. Especially this entry! Photo number four of Kato is just plain ol' gorgeous! <3
It's the perfect time in the countryside, isn't it? Everything still fresh and young, the leaves a vivid green. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Z! I'll be snapping away round your garden when I visit in a few weeks. What's the date for that? =) Indigo x
Delete14th June - time for me to confirm plans!
DeleteI'm IN! =)
