Highly entertaining ... I'm all for more instalments, not fewer.
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn! Sadly, all good things must come to an end. This tale has been a mixture of revelation and thorn-in-my-side for far too long, and I'll be putting it to be this week. But fear not, more nonsense will follow. Indigo x
DeleteOh my! Fabulous. So entertaining and delicious to read. x
ReplyDeleteThankee Jack! Almost there, almost there! Hey, you thought THIS was good? Just wait for the kick-ass second part! There'll be trouble at t'mill, I can tell you... Indigo x
DeleteAnd at the end, I'm stuck on the image of a disgruntled Derek Jacobi exiting, stage left, middle finger blazing.
ReplyDeleteAnd such LANGUAGE! Good grief, "colourful metaphor" does not cover it...
Delete*anxiously awaits whatever fate is coming*
ReplyDelete(while surely holding on to someone's hand)
It's a good job I didn't need either of them =)
DeleteHari Om
ReplyDeleteCripes, button pushing cliffhanger? Well it's programmed me into returning!
(...finally I got a connection that works - and it isn't mine....tsk, so much for things being 'better' in OZ!) YAM xx
Namaste, Yam! I know, a cliffhanger feels terribly wrong, cheating almost. But hey, I hope it'll be worth it. Now please, get your sainted butt home to Scotland. Indigo x
DeleteSmart ass. :-)
ReplyDeleteMore installments -- or on PAPER!!
Pearl
A paper-exclusive finale, just to get folk to buy my book? I couldn't do that. I get enough hate mail as it is...
Deletebut it is a splendid idea! ;)
DeleteTalk about a wild ride, my friend! And where's Abbey?! You are either a genius or a mad man. Either way, no one deserves to be rich and famous more than you do. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Jayne! Bless you. Abbey will be along any minute. And not alone, of course. When I am rich, I shall drop by to enjoy your gentle hospitality and frankly awesome animal family. Lay a good bottle or two down =) x
DeleteFirst of all, Indigo's suit CANNOT be charred. It is your signature in MY book.... sacred! ;D I would love to know who was your inspiration in school. Who taught you to write so beautifully? Was it one particular teacher? A parent? Years of one person's influence? Or is it all you? You are so amazingly creative!
ReplyDeleteHey Katherine! It's okay, the material is impervious, the charcoal just slides off it =) Your question is interesting, and oddly I was talking to my family about this last night. I saw a section in a BBC kids' programme called BLUE PETER when I was eight or nine, which reported on a teenage viewer of the show who had written an adventure book for kids. I remember thinking how cool it was, and that was the first time I wanted to really write. I owned a typewriter by the time I was eleven, and a word processor soon after. Some of those unpublished early efforts contained ideas that I dip into occasionally. I also had an excellent English teacher when I was at high school in Luton, and he set us interesting creative writing essays. I never really discussed them with him, but his comments were encouraging, and I think I just enjoyed it a lot. THANK YOU HOWARD MARSH! And so it went =) Thanks for asking! Indigo x
DeleteI can't even fathom writing fiction. You do it so beautifully, Indigo. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Dawn, you're too kind =) It's just making stuff up, but I'm flattered that you think I do it well. Indigo x
