A Suspicious Lack Of Words

I'm still working on the details of The Cephalopocalypse finale, but I've been out snapping photos, too. If I say that quietly you might not notice a suspicious lack of words.

The pics below look a tiny bit fuzzy. Give the first one a click to start a hi-def slideshow. They look much better that way!

That's all the recent stuff. But may I please draw your attention to some other photos that are out there? I've set myself up a shop on Fine Art America, and I'm hopeful as a result that there may be a few more folk out there with a Roth photo on their wall.

Shameless self promotion? You sound surprised.

    1. Hey Rene! Thanks, that one is very popular =) It was taken on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne in the north of England. Thankfully, it was a "big sky" day; sometimes you just get lucky. Indigo x

Hey Indigo - see, I knew you'd be doing SOMEthing with the photography!! Of this group though, I find I am favouring the more natural, least-manipulated ones; three stags and the last one with Autumn sun in particular. The marching towers over the ripe corn is appealing to me - not least because almost certainly they are some of the ones my father built...

    1. Namaste Yam! Thanks, I'm glad you liked them. I'm always torn with the post-processing, sometimes the original shot looks rather dull, but it somehow teases something out of it. And yeah, the autumn sun was lovely =) Indigo x

    1. Hey Lady Vicki! Hey Hilary! Lovely to see you here, thanks for the kind workds. We're blessed with big skies round this way, so when the light is right I'm out there =) Indigo

  5. I hope you make a fortune because, yes, these are beautiful. Amazing how the black and white turns the church spooky (especially with the headstones).

    1. Hey Jenn! I doubt it, but thanks for the vote. As with all things, it's tough to be noticed. But hey, I'll keep putting them out there =) And yes, the mono/blue seemed to work well there, it was a gorgeous day and a lovely building. Indigo x

    1. Hey Dufus! Thank you, Sir! The deer and the church were a couple of stops on the way to see my brother at the weekend, so not TOO busy =) Indigo

    1. Hey Margaret! Thanks, I'm glad you like them =) My confidence in my photographs is on the rise. I do all my post-processing in COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X5, but for the blue-sky-only pics it's done "in camera" on my PENTAX K-30. As for a million, I'd be thrilled with just ONE right now; as with all things, it's about getting noticed =) Indigo x

  10. Excellent stuff. And who am I to judge the lack of words? When you do publish words again, they will be exceptional.

  12. Such dramatic skies! Your clouds are just far superior over there, aren't they? Great work, Indigo!

    1. Hey Dawn! Thank you! I have the clouds shipped in from France, where the artists are far more discerning. They're miracles of post-processing in all honesty, but I have to be careful to get the exposure right so there's detail to work with. I may gild the lily, but I grew the lily at least... Indigo x

  13. I'm suffering from blurry eye syndrome so I scrolled past your obviously amazing latest post (which I will come back and read asap!) to this. All I can say is WOW! Your pictures are amazing. I love each of them equally. I do agree, though, it seems you have better clouds across the pond! :)

    1. Hey Chelle! You are excused reading of the CEPHALOPOCALYPSE; that's for hardcore followers only, as it's been going on for ages and you need to know all the backstory for it to make sense. Go check THESE OUT INSTEAD! They're shorter and more fun =) And thanks for heading over here! Indigo x
