Hi all. I'm currently enjoying the delights of Scotland, and taking a few days away from writing and working. But the photography is going well, so here's a few pics to tide you over until my return.
(Give the first a click to see a hi-def slideshow. They look better that way!)

ReplyDeleteHeart-throbbingly good... Shall I tell you now I was born in Galashiels? Is that Melrose Abbey I spy in the distance? Would I be correct in assuming the lure of the Edinburgh Fringe has called you Northwards?..... sigh. 'Sticky-beak' aren't I? &*> xxx
Namaste Yam! Nope, I knew you were from Scotland, mind. And nope, it's Lindisfarne Abbey; we were there for a few hours. The timing of the Edinburgh Festival is coincidental, I just happened to have some free time this week and received a very welcome invite =) It's lovely to be here again, and the weather is lovely. Indigo x
DeleteNice to have you pal. Festival city this afternoon?
DeleteHAH! - at least I was right about one thing - these are heart-throbbingly good!!! xx
DeleteWell, bless you both.
DeleteWhat a landscape! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks M! It's pretty amazing, and sits pleasantly still so I can take pictures of it ;) Indigo
DeleteBeautiful! I'm a little suspicious about that horse, though.
ReplyDeleteHey Paula! Thankee! The WarHorse is the one they used in the stage play (based on Michael Morpurgo's book). Absolutely amazing to watch it, it's an incredible piece of work and a very realistic performance. Indigo x
DeleteHow lovely, hope you're having a great time x
ReplyDeleteHey Zoë! Yes, it's so lovely here, and the company is fabulous =) I'll be home after the weekend, and back to the book. Hope to see you soon =) Indigo x
DeleteYour photos are amazing. Do you bring your own stormclouds?
ReplyDeleteHey Nancy! Thank you! And yes to the stormclouds (they were a devil to get in the car). Indigo x
DeleteYou shouldn't have bothered. We have our own - and their Scottish accent is much more authentic..... There are some spare ones in the wardrobe in your room. Please don't leave them lying around for too long though. They're not fully housetrained yet.
DeleteAnd they followed me all the way home today!
DeleteStunning! That one under the horse statue looks like a painting. What a beautiful place. Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteLucky me, indeed! And as you now know, not a statue! Indigo x
DeleteHow fabulous!! Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia! I'm home now, and the last of the photos are up on FaceBook =) Indigo x
DeleteThe first one makes my soul warm. I want a dress in those colors. the color photograph with the storm clouds is a picture I could live with for years. Damn, lad, you have a fine eye!
ReplyDeleteHey Roxie! You're FAR too kind, but I'm glad that one hit the spot for you =) Indigo x
DeleteJust BEAUTIFUL!!!!! SO SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! My favorite is the one where rock in the water is unfocused and the grasses are focused... my favorite type of picture. I wish I could see in person what you are seeing... thank you so much for sharing - it is the next best thing!
ReplyDeleteHi Katherine! Thank you, I'm pleased with it, too! That one really isn't my usual kind of thing, but just the sort of shot I want to get a decent fixed prime lens for. And yes, it was absolutely beautiful there =) Indigo x
DeleteWonderful photos. So much beauty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn! The good weather, the times of day and the gorgeous light helped make these shots, every bit as much as the guy holding the camera. Indigo x
DeleteGreat shots, as always. Looks like you saw WAR HORSE. What did you think?
ReplyDeleteHey Joshua, thanks! Actually, no, I didn't see War Horse. But the thing itself (I hesitate to call it a "puppet") was part of the show at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. I was startled by how lifelike it was in its movements and behaviour. Maybe I should get along to se it properly? Indigo
DeleteYou get better every day! And your photographs are pretty good, too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHeh, thanks Chrissy ;) x
