To be honest, my eye really hasn't been on the rabbit.
But hey, I've taken some photos I'm proud of.
[They look fuzzy below; click for a "full size" slideshow.]
Like this one, from the American Military Cemetery in Cambridge, UK.
The Mathematical Bridge over to Queens College, Cambridge.
Um, random flower! I was warming up a macro lens set I bought.
A little over processed, but another macro shot of a tiny set of chains.
This may seemed contrived, but is exactly as I found it in a gas station.
Okay, a little blue fringey, but these forget-me-nots were tiny.
I've no idea. But tiny blossoms on a shrub near my car parking space.
Yes, a mug of coffee. I'm rather fond of this.
St. Ives in Cambridgeshire. In sepia. For Max.
The "Bridge To Nowhere" in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland.
Moe of East Lothian. Taken while staying with friends Alistair and Gabrielle.
And again. Not a sunny day, but it made for some moody shots.
The view from Alistair & Gabrielle's spare room. A treat for me!
Major zoom photography of the same scene. I've got better since ;)
The local power station in the cold weather!
A cygnet at the local duckpond.
Hannah Stanbury of Scarlet Echo, from my first gig photos.
The common in Stamford, Lincolnshire, UK.
They don't carve 'em like that any more.
The Alms Houses, a beautiful old folk's home in Stamford.
A moody common near my home.
And (finally) a motorway slip road. I know, I go all the best places.
That's all.

Love the photos, especially the B&W. I'm kind of partial to moody. The clouds add so much... thoughtful of them to oblige you like that.
ReplyDeleteHey BoomBoom! They were surprisingly accommodating, it's true. I'm glad the moodiness appealed =) Indigo x
DeleteSome great shots, Indigo. No, that would be my title: Some Great Shots.
ReplyDeleteHey Dufus! Hmmm, I don't know, it lacks a punning something...
DeleteFANTASTIC shots, sugar! i think i'd call this what i see xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteHey Savannah! Thanks, I'm glad you liked them! I need to get out there and take more photos of what I see. Hmmm, that might work as a title... Indigo x
DeleteHave you ever thought of selling your photography? A sidebar while getting the writing fully in gear? Where I live - which, granted, is an ocean away, but still - people sell their photos at craft markets, framed and unframed. Yours are every bit as good as theirs and better. Anyway, you are producing some beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn! Yep, I've thought about it, but honestly I think my photos are average at best. But thanks for the vote of confidence =) BTW, I hope the book will be ready in the next month! Indigo x

ReplyDeleteFabuloso Indigo ol'pal, ol'buddy!! How about
"LESS HURRY, MORE PLACE"
That sliproad shot makes me actually want to go there...the blue is periwinkle, the red looks to be a form of fruit blossom, probably ornamental.
Definitiely a whole other blog preparing itself here!!! YAM xx
Namaste, Yam! Hah! Thanks! I think I'll stick with the writing. This was just a distraction while I pretend to be working. And be careful what you wish for; the sliproad is in Stevenage. Indigo x
DeleteStunning work! My compliments and admiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks Geo! I'll be over very soon! Indigo
DeleteFantastic photos, Indigo. Especially like the cup of coffee and the flowers. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jack! I must confess a fondness for the B&W ones, but they're miracles of post processing ;) Indigo
DeleteOh, these are fun! That shot of the Mathematical Bridge is really stunning. I love how you chose to shoot/crop the cygnet. Great capture of Hannah.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl! You're a far better photographer than I, so thanks for the up! =) Indigo x
DeleteDuring WW II, my Dad was stationed in London, working in intelligence. He bought himself a fancy camera and made lots of B&W photos of London and the countryside. When I visited London 40-some years ago, I took B&W snapshots. So in my head, photos of anywhere in Great Britain are supposed to be B&W. Yours are wonderful, thanks to your eye for angles and textures and contrasts. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHey Nancy! Thanks, you're too kind. I'd love to see some of your dad's photos, or yours! Any chance they might make it onto your blog? By the way, we ARE in black and white ;) Indigo x
DeleteFor your title, I would suggest "Perspectives" if that's not too twee and pretentious. I love the air and space in your landscapes. When I look at the, a knot in my chest unties, and and the noise goes away.
ReplyDeleteHey Roxie! I'm flattered as hell that these have a calming effect. Thank you =) Indigo x
DeleteOh, your red flower looks like Japanese Quince.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, ta!
DeleteI love the chains and the gas station ones....B&W always wins....
ReplyDeleteHey ♥ Braja! I do a lot of processing on the B&W ones, but whatever detail is there is "real" if you know what I mean. You take fabulous photographs, so (again) I'm hugely flattered you think well of them. Thanks, Indigo x
DeleteThey're all absolutely stunning! I love how open space is referred to as "the commons." You are surrounded by much beauty.
ReplyDeleteHey Jayne! Too kind, ma'am, far too kind. A "common" is a peculiar UK idea; "common land is land owned by one person over which another person is entitled to exercise rights of common (such as grazing animals or cutting bracken for livestock bedding), and these rights are generally exercisable in common with others." You see cows in the middle of Cambridge on the common! Is there an American equivalent? And by the way, I think you have an equally beautiful environment. Indigo x
DeleteThat's all?? THAT'S ALL!?!?!?!? Oh my gosh!!!! These are SPECTACULAR! They are like BOOK spectacular!!! I didn't realize you were so much the photographer. Beautiful beautiful work. I especially love the chains... and the zoom one with the tree and animals... that tree stands out so much... so amazing!
ReplyDeleteHey Katherine! Thank you, I'm chuffed you like them. But honestly, these are a handful of lucky ones out of the thousands I've taken since I bought a "proper" camera. And most too a lot of processing to get them looking this way. Still, I'm flattered. Indigo x
DeleteHoly moly Indigo! You are an amazing photographer! Wow! I'm actually quite blown away by these.
ReplyDeleteMore please!!
Hey Kato! Thanks! You know, much as I pull your leg about it, I'd love to photograph some of the places you and Krista sneak into. Decay makes for good B&W =) Indigo x
Deletelove them! Especially loved the dramatic B n W skies. Reminds me of ye olde "red no. 25 filter" shots I used to do. Also love the card at the gas station. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Dawn! Thank you. I know you do it for a living, so I'm glad they fared okay =) I try to be careful to catch detail in the skies, as I have some nice tools for bringing the drama out of them. The gas station shot was so peculiar because it was literally just sitting there as I got out of my car. The owner got very suspicious as I unpacked my camera and crawled around on hands and knees to get the shot! Indigo x
DeleteI can do titles, as long as you do the story. We can split the proceeds 75/25. And because I'm such a nice guy, you can have the 75%. Let me know.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I like that shot of the chains.
Hey Joshua! Yeah, the chains seem really popular! Not what I expected! Indigo
