Looking back, there are a few "worst times in my life" that I can recall. I can't recall any "worst times" when someone was there in my way... even though I know there were situations far more dire than my "worst times" - those had a friend in them. It really does make a difference just knowing somebody is standing there - and will still be on the other side of it, what ever *it* may be.
